Global Missions

Partnering with God’s Work Around the World

We believe the Gospel is for every nation, tribe, and tongue—and we’re committed to being part of what God is doing globally. Through prayer, giving, and going, we support and partner with missionaries and ministries that are bringing the hope of Jesus to the nations.

El Redil – Caldas

We are blessed to have a meaningful partnership with El Redil Caldas, a sister church located in Caldas, Colombia. This vibrant congregation, led by Pastor Cesar, is a church plant of El Redil Sur and is actively sharing the love and hope of Jesus in their community.

As part of our commitment to global missions, Sooke Baptist Church supports El Redil Caldas financially, helping to cover their pastor’s salary so the church can continue to grow and serve faithfully.

Our connection goes beyond financial support—teams from Sooke Baptist have travelled to Colombia many times on short-term mission trips. These visits have built lasting relationships, encouraged the local church, and deepened our shared sense of purpose in God’s global mission.

Together, we celebrate what God is doing in Caldas and look forward to continuing this partnership in prayer, support, and future opportunities to serve.

Jenn Taylor – beautiful Feet

Jenn Taylor serves with Beautiful Feet, a global ministry that equips churches to care for women in crisis pregnancies while sharing the hope of Jesus. As a regional coordinator, Jenn works with pastors and leaders across Latin America and the Caribbean, training and supporting them as they establish pregnancy ministries in their own communities.

Through this work, local churches are empowered to protect the lives of the unborn, walk alongside families in difficult moments, and introduce them to the transforming love of Christ.

Rebekah Welsh – Guatemala

Rebekah Welsh serves in Guatemala with Hope of the Pokomchi, working alongside an Indigenous Mayan community in the Alta Verapaz region. Originally from Sooke, she felt called to this ministry after a short-term mission trip and has been serving there since 2016.

Her work is relational and multifaceted—supporting health and community programs, assisting with visiting teams, and helping with children’s ministry and outreach. Through these roles, she partners with local leaders to empower families, strengthen communities, and share the love of Jesus in meaningful, everyday ways.
