What to Expect

Visiting a church for the first time can feel unfamiliar—but we want you to feel at ease.

We’re a welcoming, relational community in Sooke where you can come as you are. Whether you’re exploring faith, returning after some time away, or simply curious, there’s space for you here. There’s no pressure—just an opportunity to be present, to listen, and to connect.

When You Arrive

When you arrive, you’ll be greeted by someone from our community who can help you find your way. You’re free to engage as much or as little as you like—we want you to feel comfortable. There is also the Connection Desk where you can find information .

Many people grab a coffee or tea and take a few minutes to connect before the service begins.

Our Gatherings

Our Sunday gathering typically includes:

  • A time of singing
  • Prayer
  • A message from the Bible
  • Space to reflect and respond

Services are about 75 minutes.

You’re welcome to participate in whatever way feels comfortable, or simply observe—there’s no expectation placed on you.

Atmosphere

Our atmosphere is casual and relaxed. You’ll see people dressed in a variety of ways, so come in whatever you’re comfortable wearing—there’s no formal dress code.

We value authenticity over appearances—we’re not about having it all together, but about walking together in faith.

Kids & Families

Children are an important part of our community.

We offer classes for kids (age 3 to Grade 5) during the service, with dismissal after the singing and prayer. A nursery is also available for babies and toddlers.

Kids are always welcome to stay with you in the service. We understand that children can be active and expressive—that’s part of life, and it doesn’t bother us.

After the Service

After the gathering, many people stick around to talk and connect. We usually have baked treats and drinks available, and it’s a relaxed time to get to know others.

You’re welcome to join in—or head out if that feels more comfortable. There’s no pressure either way.

If It’s Been a While

If you haven’t been to church in a long time, you’re not alone. Many people walk through our doors in the same place. You’re welcome here, just as you are.

Still Have Questions?

If you have questions before coming, we’d love to help. Feel free to reach out—we’re always happy to connect.

A Simple Invitation
